Camp Conestoga Merit Badge Registration Process

We are excited for a new year at Camp Conestoga! This page will be dedicated to information about merit badges at Camp Conestoga. All information and updates will be posted here in one easy location.

For those of you who haven’t already heard, this year Camp Conestoga is hosting an online registration for camp. This will be done through a program called Google Sheets. If you have never used Google Sheets before, don’t worry! It is very similar to Microsoft Excel! Below you will find a tutorial video explaining what “Google Sheets” is, how to access your link to register your unit online for their merit badges, as well as other miscellaneous aspects of the merit badge registration. However, if after watching the video, you still have questions, please direct them to pdconestoga@gmail.com. I will be happy to answer any concerns you have. If a question appears to be a popular concern, we will upload it to the website for others to view.

Additionally, I recognize not every unit has access to the internet, or a tech savy person to navigate the system, and that it okay! We will be notifying everyone of dates where help will be at the council office from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM to help any units register using the system. If you are unable to make any of the in-person days, I will make myself available as needed, but it will generally be evenings because of my other job and classes. Registration will go live March 24th. This will be the day we send out the email with the link to the sign-ups. It will close midnight on May 5th.

It is very important to note, that once your troop registers all of it’s scouts your work with the program is not finished. It is important that you look at the registration once or twice afterwards in case any changes were made. A scout is trustworthy, and I know nobody would knowingly change or erase other troops information, but in case an accident was to occur, please email me to let me know. I can then go back to previous versions of the program and rectify the situation. Additionally, if you know a scout is no longer attending summer camp, please remove their schedule to make room for other scouts in the class. We will do our best to be vigilant with this and ensure scouts on the waitlist get moved up, but this is a large undertaking and we need as much help as we can get.

I truly appreciate the magnificent work every single one of you does to help ensure this program and camp as a whole is a success. It is the tireless dedication of volunteers like you that make scouting a unique and wonderful program. Merit Badge Schedule Up to Date

For Scoutmasters or Unit Leader's needing assistance in the Merit Badge Registration Process. Michael Conroy will be available at the scout office on Saturday, April 3rd from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (All day) Thursday, April 19th 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Open to 5), Tuesday, April 24th 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Open to close), and May 5th 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Open to Close). I will also be available upon request to meet with you or your unit personally. These times will be limited based on my class and work schedule but I will work with you the best I can.
