"Cache to Eagle"

What is Cache to Eagle?

Cache to Eagle is a series of public geocaches hidden at or near the sites of Boy Scout Eagle projects.  The purpose of this nationwide series is to highlight the contributions that Eagle Scouts have made to their community as well as introduce non-scouters to Geocaching and Geocachers to Scouting.

The Westmoreland-Fayette Council, Bushy Run District, Cache to Eagle series will total 13 caches; 12 will contain one of the 12 points of the Scout Law along with a number or symbol to solve the final cache.  Keep track of each point of the Scout Law and the corresponding number or symbol.  When you've visited all twelve, you will be able to solve and claim the final cache!

What I am looking for from each of you is if you can provide me the location (GPS coordinates would be helpful too) and details about Eagle Scout projects, past or present, that are in good condition and that we can show off to the world.  The hardest part about doing this project is getting the information on Eagle Scout projects.

My goal would be to show off as many Eagle Scout projects as I can in this series.  Even though I only have 12 locations, there are some areas that have more than one project at that location.  Good examples of this would be parks, churches and other charter partners.  The more that I can include in a single cache the better, but that is just a bonus.  All projects that I am aware of can be documented in the final cache that I am creating.

I would like to get as many units in this as I can, but I am relying on your assistance in knowing what and where they are.  And as a reminder, the age of the project does not matter, in fact, I think that it would be great if I could get some that have some age to them as well.

Thank you in advance for all of your support.

Yours in Scouting,

Jimmy Koehn
