For the past 107 years, the Boy Scouts of America has trained youth in the proper handling, care and safety of firearms and bows/arrows.  Starting at Kindergarten age, Scouts learn with the use of BB guns and small bows. After graduating 5th grade Scouts advance on to shotgun, rifles and larger compound bow systems.

Every Scout is encouraged to develop safe shooting practices and proficiency in shooting sports. As a Scout participates in shooting sports activities and works toward their achievements, he not only builds confidence in his abilities, but he also develops self-reliance, sportsmanship, and conservation awareness ... all elements of good character valued in Scouting.

In the Boy Scout program, three merit badges may be earned, the Rifle Merit Badge, Shot Gun Merit Badge and Archery Merit Badge.  In the younger Cub Scout ages, awards can be earned based on school grade.  Besides the tradition programs, we also offer slingshot and competitive shooting.

Consideration in supporting this event will help secure the program and keep costs affordable for all families.   Pre-register HERE
