Volunteer Leaders: As you know, one of the BSA’s many barriers to abuse is a mandatory criminal background check during the adult volunteer application process. The BSA will now also perform periodic rechecks of criminal backgrounds to support the continued safety of youth in our programs.
If you have not already done so, please download and complete the Additional Background and Disclosure Form below and return it to your unit leader as soon as possible! Thank you!

Internet Rechartering allows you to renew your unit’s charter online and perform the following actions:
Journey to Excellence
Scouting’s Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the BSA’s planning, performance, and recognition program designed to encourage and reward the success of our units. It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA. You can download/view the JTE Guidebook and Scorecard for your program below. If you would prefer a paper copy, please contact the Council Service Center and we will be happy to provide you with one!
Scoutbook is the BSA’s online unit management tool and helps Scouts, parents and leaders track advancement and milestone achievements along the Scouting trail.
As of January 1, 2019, Scoutbook subscriptions are free to all scouting units.
The BSA Internet Advancement Program is free and when you enter your Scouts advancement records they update automatically to the Scouts records.
To access Internet Advancement, login through your My.Scouting account, then click on Menu, BSA Web Links and then Internet Advancement 2.0.
