Journey to Excellence

Scouting’s Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the BSA’s planning, performance, and recognition program designed to encourage and reward the success of our units. It is meant to encourage excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.  You can download/view the JTE Guidebook and Scorecard for your program below.    If you would prefer a paper copy, please contact the Council Service Center and we will be happy to provide you with one!

Scoutbook

Scoutbook is the BSA’s online unit management tool and helps Scouts, parents and leaders track advancement and milestone achievements along the Scouting trail.

As of January 1, 2019, Scoutbook subscriptions are free to all scouting units.

Internet Advancement

The BSA Internet Advancement Program is free and when you enter your Scouts advancement records they update automatically to the Scouts records.

To access Internet Advancement,  login through your My.Scouting account, then click on Menu, BSA Web Links and then Internet Advancement 2.0.

Guide to Safe Scouting

All participants in official Scouting activities should become familiar with the Guide to Safe Scouting and applicable program literature or manuals, and be aware of state or local government regulations that supersede Boy Scouts of America practices, policies, and guidelines. The Guide to Safe Scouting is an overview of Scouting policies and procedures gleaned from a variety of sources. For some items, the policy statements are complete. Unit leaders are expected to review the additional reference material cited prior to conducting such activities.

You can find the most current version of the Guide to Safe Scouting HERE
