Dear Student,
Excela Health and Boy Scouts of America, Westmoreland Fayette Council are pleased to present the Explorer program at Excela Hospitals. Exploring is a high school aged, coed program which will give all students the opportunity to learn more about careers in the healthcare field such as Radiology, Therapy, Nursing, and Pathology.
We understand that you may have an interest in one of the many careers in the healthcare field. On Wednesday, September 18th from 6pm-7:30pm, we would like to invite you to join us at Excela Hospital, Latrobe or Excela Hospital, Westmoreland to begin to look at the many health careers that are available in our community.
The evening will begin by everyone meeting in the lobby where you will be greeted by some of the staff of the Explorer program. We will provide an overview of the Exploring program, Healthcare field and opportunities in the Excela Health system. Future month’s programs will explore healthcare topics in more detail and the opportunity to meet professionals in that area.
This is a continuing program that meets monthly and would require you and a parent to fill out an application (which will be available that evening) and paying an annual participation fee of $34
We encourage you to bring your friends. Parents are more than welcome to stay after filling out the application but ask that they be respectful of the presenters.
For us to properly prepare, we would ask that you register at wfbsa.com/exploring by Monday, September 16th. For any additional questions, please contact Jesse.Bush@Scouting.org.
Sincerely,
John Dolan
